Are you trying to tell me that I AM calm?!
Barb of
Righty in a Lefty State has a
link to three pictures that the less stressed you are the less they move. I sat there and stared at all three for over 5 minutes each and not a damn movement was scene by me. I don't know what the hell she is talking about. If any of you want to believe that I 'm not a stressed out individual then be my guest.
Actually I'd have to agree with you. I learned some very good stress coping techniques years ago and I do them second nature now. And no matter what people tell you, it's not drinking! Stupid friends all spreading the truth misinformation about me.
But seriously try as I might I saw no movement in those pictures. Go over and check it out and then tell me if you saw movement.

Teresa and I just did this while we were on the phone. Here's my theory - actually Teresa's but I'm commenting now! - the more stressed you are the more focused you tend to be on the one item. Me....I'm a pretty laid back kinda gal - those damn things were movin' a mile a minute. Teresa - hell SHE'S stressed right now and notin'. Not a movement.
Yeah - you both are crazy!!

These are pretty typical optical illusions - I've seen a lot of these.
What they have to do with stress though, I dono.

If I concentrate, they don't move. If I let my eyes wander over the page there is a very slight movement.

I'd run right out and fulfill my destiny as a serial killer, but I'm suffering from major vertigo now; thanks a lot.

I find the variation in what everyone sees to be amazing .. Heh!
Graus - I see things crawl a good bit, but real slowly. I wonder how much our astigmatism is related?

I have blogspawn????
Apparently while I was out blowing stuff up I slipped and spawned a blogchild. Yea, I know what you all are thinking, and I agree. No good comes from this.
Let me introduce you to Virtue of The Rantings of an Indentured Servant.
It does kind of disturb me that a spawn of mine has the name Virtue... Personally I think she's being sarcastic. Go say hello and see her take on the events of the Fourth of July.

She tells stories in a similar manner as you. You can tell she's yours. Congrats!

I wonder if this actually works
I was out sirfing the net again and I came across this article on how to make a
homemade airconditioner. I remember being a broke college student and wondering what I was going to do on hot days. Fortunately, by then I would be going home for the summer.
Just for giggles, I might have to go and give this a try... just to see if it works.

I am surprised that as a re-enactor, you have not heard of this, or other home-cooling methods.

That

Star War's from the eye of a 7 year old
I was out cruising the internet and I stumbled across
this post on the Star Wars: Blogs. What I find most interesting is that this guy posted his 7 year old kid's questions after he watched episodes 1-6 in order for the first time.
It kind of makes you think maybe ol' Georgie boy didn't have these planned out as well as he claims to have.
